buddi bench™ began with a simple idea - and me, Seth H., just a guy with a puppy. My dog sparked warm, unexpected conversations with strangers that revealed how meaningful small moments of connection can be.

That experience inspired me to create a simple way to support people, whether you're facing distress or just in need of a moment of sunshine - helping you to feel seen, heard, and connected.
Alongside our benches, we offer additional ways to connect and find support.

How do I use the bench?

Each buddi bench features a subtle steel logo and a QR code. Just take a seat and wait - someone may join you for a friendly chat.
Feel free to come back anytime and share a moment of kindness.

What inspired buddi bench?

The idea came from two places: puppies and playgrounds.
Walking a dog often leads to easy, friendly chats with strangers that remind us we’re social creatures. Similarly, some schools have special benches where children can sit when they need support. We loved this simple, powerful idea and wanted to bring the same spirit of connection to adults.

How to find a buddi bench?

You can find a full list of our benches, along with a map and exact locations, on our Ways We Care page. Right now, we’re growing across the UK, and with your kind donations, we hope to bring buddi benches to even more places around the world.

Is it safe to use a buddi bench?

Your safety is our top priority. That’s why buddi benches are placed in busy public areas, but we also recommend letting a friend know before you go.
For now, the project is for adults only, but we plan to bring it to schools with proper supervision.
